Getting ready!

Hiii!

I'm always behind with the updates, but since uni is ending, exams will start soon and I don't spend much time exploring my surroundings, sorry about that! I hope in a few weeks I can show you some interesting pictures.

Lo siento que siempre esté tardando con las actualizaciones, pero como ya se está acabando el curso y pronto empezarán los exámenes, no tengo mucho tiempo para salir a explorar ni nada por el estilo. Espero que en unas semanas ya pueda enseñaros cositas interesantes...

Today I'm just going to tell you how I'm getting ready for my trip to Japan next July! It feels like a dream, it's been so long since I bought the ticket (late November) and finally... it's in a month and two weeks! So what I've been doing mainly is going through guides and such and looking for cool places to visit <3

Hoy solo os voy a hablar un poco de cómo me estoy organizando para el viaje a Japón que haré en julio. Todavía me parece un sueño, porque hace taaaanto que compré el billete (finales de Noviembre) y finalmente... ¡solo falta un mes y medio! Así que estoy todo el rato mirando guías para encontrar sitios chulos que ver y cosas así <3

One of my dreamplaces I wanted to visit since I knew about it thank to the anime Tsuritama is the island of Enoshima. It's a tiiiiny island about one hour and half from Tokyo, but it's so pretty!

Uno de los sitios que TENGO que ir a ver y que conocí gracias al anime de Tsuritama es la isla de Enoshima. Una islita pequeñiiiita a una hora y media de Tokyo, ¡super bonita!

It's also very easy to get there and on this site they explain how to get get there.
I'll visit Enoshima when I'll stay in Tokyo, but I will also visit other cities, of course! My first stop is actually Osaka, where I'll meet with my friend Yuina (who visited me last summer).

Visitaré Enoshima cuando esté en Tokyo, pero también iré a otras ciudades, ¡por supuesto! My primera parada en verdad es Osaka, donde me encontraré con mi amiga Yuina (que me visitó el verano pasado).

The next stop is Kyoto! One of my friend's mother went there a few years ago, so she's been recommending me a lot of places <3

La siguiente parada es Kyoto, donde también me espera otra amiga. La madre de una amiga mía estuvo allí hace unos años, así que me ha estado recomendando un montón de sitios <3

In Tokyo I will be staying at Khaosan World in Asakusa, so I'll be near Sensoji Temple and TokyoSkyTree!

En Tokyo me quedaré en el Khaosan World en Asakusa, así que estaré cerca del Sensoji y del Tokyo SkyTree!

Of course I can't miss Harajuku and Shibuya and I want to spend there an entire day, Sunday August 3rd. My birthday is the next day, but on Mondays it's not as full of fashionable people and I really want to feel the atmosphere!

Por supuesto no voy a perderme Harajuku y Shibuya y tengo intención de pasarme allí un día entero, con fecha y todo, el 3 de agosto. Mi cumpleaños es al día siguiente, pero por lo que tengo entendido los lunes no está tan LLENO de gente y yo quiero sentir la verdadera sensación de estar allí.

I'm still trying to figure out a couple of things, like credit/debit cards and stuff like that, but I'm soooo excited that I can't wait! I keep looking at pictures and guides everyday~

Todavía estoy intentando enterarme de una cosillas, como el rollo de la tarjeta de crédito/débito (si tenéis alguna recomendación al respecto, hacedmelo saber, por favor) y cosas por el estilo, ¡pero estoy suuuuuper nerviosa y no puedo esperar más! Me paso el día mirando fotos y guías~

Harajuku Fashion Walk in Tenerife and Musical.IES

Hiiii!!

In this journal I'm going to show you some pics from the Harajuku Fashion Walk I organized in Tenerife a few weeks ago (it's been kinda popular lately, it's funny how just walking with fashionable people seems to be a custom here in Earth).
I've also started working with Shibuya Scramble and I made a video about this, so if you understand Spanish, you can watch it here.

En esta entrada voy a subir fotitos del Harajuku Fashion Walk en Tenerife que organicé hace unas semanas (se ha vuelto bastante popular últimamente y me parece gracioso que caminar con gente fashion se haya convertido en una costumbre aquí en la Tierra).
También he empezado a trabajar con los chicos de Shibuya Scramble y he subido un video sobre el Fashion Walk, que podéis ver aquí.

The day before I also went to one of my close friends musical (Musical.IES), in which I had also participated three years ago. Everything was amazing, everybody sang wonderfully and the songs chosen were perfect. I ended up singing along with them, cheering and finally crying, since they sang a song from "Rent", in honor of the first musical, since we had sung "525,600 minutes". I also went with another friend and we were the "crazy fans" that brought a sign for our friend saying "You're a big girl now" (she had sung "Mama, I'm a big girl now" in our first musical), since now she's the same age I was back then.
I can't put into words how much it meant for me to be there again, even as a spectator, and saying hello to the ones who are still working on this musical to make it better each year. YOU'RE AMAZING!


El día anterior fui al musical de una de mis amigas (Musical.IES), en el cual había participado hace tres años. Todo fue genial, los chicos cantaron de maravilla y las canciones elegidas eran PERFECTAS. Al final acabé cantando con ellos, gritando y llorando, porque cantaron una canción de "Rent" en honor al primer musical que se hizo, en el que habíamos cantado "525,600 minutes". Como fui con otra amiga, Kairy, nos convertimos en las "locas fans" que llevaron un cartel en el que ponía "You're a big girl now" para nuestra amiga, ya que hace tres años había cantado "Mama, I'm a big girl now" y ahora tiene la misma edad que tenía yo entonces.
No sé cómo explicar lo mucho que ha significado para mí volver a estar ahí, aunque fuese como espectadora, y saludar a todos los que siguen trabajando en este musical para mejorarlo cada año. ¡SOIS GENIALES!

Japan Week in Granada

Hiiiii!
These last weeks have been veeeeery busy with lots of activities and stuff to do!
The first week of april (31st March - 6th April) was the Japan Week in Granada to celebrate 400 years of international relations between Spain and Japan, yay! And the University of Granada and CrossOver Association organized a wonderful week!
But what's even better than that is.... MY ALIEN FRIENDS CAME TOO! So I managed to spend a week with them doing fun stuff together ;^;

Las últimas semanas han sido un lío,he estado de arriba a abajo sin parar (y encima Semana Santa, así que...).
La primera semana de abril (31 de marzo - 6 de abril) fue la Semana de Japón en Granada para conmemorar los 400 años de relaciones entre España y Japón, ¡yay! Y la Universidad de Granada y la Asociación CrossOver organizaron una semana estupenda <3
Pero lo mejor fue... ¡que mis amigas aliens vinieron también! Así que pude disfrutar con ellas una semana divirtiéndonos un montón ;^;

We started the week veeeeery tired because we went to sleep late and we couldn't get out of the bed early as we wanted (there was a taiko concert that monday morning), but we went to some other speeches about music (some of them not so interesting).
On Tuesday, though, we had our first try at kumihimo, a Japanese ancient handcraft. My results were not so good...

Empezamos la semana suuuuper cansadas porque nos fuimos a dormir ultra tarde y fue imposible sacarnos de la cama a la hora a la que se suponíamos que teníamos que levantarnos (había un concierto de taiko ese lunes por la mañana), así que al final nos conformamos con ir a unas cuantas charlas sobre música (algunas interesantes, otras no tanto xD).
Y el martes tuvimos nuestro primer encuentro con el kumihimo, aunque mis resultados no fueron demasiado buenos...

We also tried shôdo, but I wasn't very good at it either... It was very cool, though, and I would like to learn more about it <3

También probamos el shôdo, aunque tampoco me salió muy bien... Estuvo muy guay, eso sí, y me gustaría aprender más <3

There were some restaurants that had prepared some special dishes for this japanese week, so we went to try some... and did silly stuff, of course xD

Algunos bares de tapas de aquí también participaban en la Semana de Japón con unas tapas especiales, inspiradas en la cocina japonesa, así que aprovechamos para probar unas cuantas (aunque solo saqué foto a una...) y hacer el tonto, por supuesto xD

One night I wanted to try my new lenses for my Jean cosplay and this happened...

Y bueno, como ya se acerca el Ficzone y mis amigas me trajeron las lentillas de Jean, se me antojó probarme el cosplay y la noche acabó así...

We also went to a tea ceremony held by the wonderful Eiko Kishi-san <3

También fuimos a una demostración de ceremonia del té que llevó a cabo la maravillosa Eiko Kishi-san <3

On Saturday I participated in the little matsuri we had in Granada and I explained and showed how to put on a shironuri makeup. I was a little bit afraid, since I usually never leave the house without makeup and I'm bad at explaining myself, so...

El sábado hubo un pequeño matsuri y participé con un taller/tutorial mostrando cómo ponerse el maquillaje shironuri. Estaba un pelín asustada porque normalmente nunca salgo de casa sin maquillar y creo que soy un poco mala explicándome, así que...

(Alien... henshin!)

After that, we had lunch (I took off the shironuri makeup first, because I still can't eat without getting white paint everywhere, even if I seal it...) and quickly went back to get a seat to see how to put on a kimono <3

Después de eso nos fuimos a comer (antes me quité el maquillaje, porque todavía no sé comer sin acabar con pintura blanca everywhere, aún cuando me eche fijador) y volvimos rápido para conseguir un buen sitio para ver cómo se ponía un kimono.

(Sorry for the crappy pictures, but the lighting was awful... D: /// La luz era horrorosa (y el flash más todavía), así que perdonadme las fotos horribles... D: )

My friends had to leave afterwards and I was a bit sad, since there were more activities scheduled for that evening (party with japanese students, yay!) and a picnic on the next day...

It rained the whole week, but on saturday the sky cleared up and on sunday it was a wonderful day to spend in the fields, eating and talking.

Mis amigas tuvieron que irse justo después, así que estaba un poquito decaída, porque se suponía que ibamos a ir juntas a otras actividades que iba a haber esa noche (¡fiesta con estudiantes japos!) y a un picnic al día siguiente...
Y estaba preocupada también porque había estado lloviendo toda la semana, pero el sábado ya hacía mejor tiempo y el domingo hizo un día PRECIOSO para pasarlo en el monte comiendo y charlando.

Lolita Desu giveaway, Funko and more!

Sorry for the lack of updates, but my life has been pretty boring lately. Basically going back and forth to the university, studying and getting ready for my trip in July! I'm so excited to see my friends again that I don't even care if I have to spend a whole night at the Narita airport all alone (are there any aliens who want to join me?). It will be over a year since I met some of them.
I will also be in Italy in June, right in between my finals (who thought it would be a good idea to put an exam on June 6th and the next on July 1st????). I want to see my friend Silvia (same name, yay >v</) and enjoy some free time with my family.

Lo siento por la falta de actualizaciones, pero mi vida últimamente ha sido bastante aburridilla. De casa a la uni y de la uni a casa, estudiando y preparándome para el viaje a Japón en julio. Estoy super nerviosa, porque voy a ver a mis amigas otra vez y me da igual pasar toda una noche yo solita en Narita para coger el avión para Osaka al día siguiente (si hay algún alien que se me quiera unir, que venga a hacerme compañía). Hará un año o más que no las veo.
También estaré en Italia en junio, justo entre dos exámenes (porque no sé quién fue el listo que pensó que sería buena idea poner un examen el 6 de junio y otro el 1 de julio...). Quiero ver a mi amiga Silvia (seh, nos llamamos igual) y disfrutar de la familia.

I forgot to upload some pictures of the Valentine's Day donuts I made for my alien friends, since we spent the day together. I'm still not used to this celebration and it was my first time actually doing something for this day...

Se me olvidó subir unas fotitos de los donuts que hice para San Valentín para comer con mis amigas extraterrestres (<3), ya que iba a pasar el fin de semana con ellas. No me acostumbro del todo a esta fiesta y en realidad es la primera vez que hago algo para celebrarla...

(Seriously, light in my kitchen is the worst... /// La luz de mi cocina es horrrrriiible...)

And last week I went to buy my Ficzone tickets and the shop had recently got some Funko mistery boxes. I just couldn't resist and got two of them, so these are making me company now...

Y la semana pasada fui a comprar las entradas para el Ficzone y acababan de llegar a la tienda (Freakmondo) unas "mistery box" de los muñecos Funko. No me resistí y me llevé dos, así que estos pequeñines ahora me hacen compañía...

This week I also received my prize for the Lolita Desu giveaway! I've been wanting one of these fluffy stars since I landed on this planet, so it made me super happy to be one of the winners! <3

¡Esta semana también recibí el premio del giveaway de Lolita Desu! Llevo queriendo una de estas estrellas desde que llegué a este planeta, así que me hizo super feliz ser uno de los ganadores. <3

This weekend I went to one of my favourite shops here in Granada. It sells vintage clothes, shoes and accessories and lately they have brought super cute romantic dresses <3

Este finde fui a una de mis tiendas favoritas de Granada. Venden ropa, zapatos y accesorios, todo vintage y últimamente han traído unos vestidos suuuuuper bonitos <3

I plan on using this dress for my shironuri "show" in two weeks, so I'll try to put a notice here, so if there's anyone who wants to see me, you can come <3

Quiero usarlo para mi demostración de shironuri en un par de semanas, así que avisaré por aquí por si hay gente que quiera venir a verme <3

Wigs, wigs and more wigs... /Pelucas, pelucas y más pelucas...

Again, I've been neglecting my journal, since I've been on exams until two weeks ago (then I took my time to visit my alien friends and relax a bit). I've also been having some "problems" with my flatmates, since it seems like my communication with them is not so good (maybe I'm having difficulties speaking in earthly-language? I don't know, nobody seems to have the same problem, so I don't really understand what's going on...).

He pensado que puede ser más fácil si voy traduciendo esto al español, dado que muchos lectores hablais este idioma. Si os parece bien que siga así, por favor, dejad un comentario en la entrada <3
En fin, he estado dejando de lado este diario de viajes, dado que he estado de exámenes hasta hace dos semanas (y luego me fui a ver a otros uchuujins y relajarme un rato). También he estado teniendo "problemillas" con mis compañeros de piso, porque parece que la comunicación entre nosotros ya no es tan buena (puede que esté teniendo dificultades a la hora de hablar un idioma terrestre, no lo sé, porque parece que los demás no tienen problemas para entenderme, así que no entiendo qué es lo que está pasando...).

As I said in my last entry, I was waiting for some stuff to come, since I'm getting more and more in this earthly practice to do "cosplay". At first I was a bit reluctant, because the character and I don't look similar AT ALL. Cute alien > manly guy? I wasn't sure about it at first, but after the first try...


Como dije en mi entrada anterior, estaba esperando que me llegaran cositas, ya que estoy cada vez más metida en esta costumbre terrestre de hacer "cosplay". Al principio no estaba muy segura, porque el personaje en cuestión y yo no nos parecemos en nada (mis compañeras aliens no son del mismo parecer). ¿De alien kawaii a macho? Aunque después del primer intento...

Pink circle lenses, pink and purple wig (I still haven't tried the purple one >_<) and the heart sweater that I'm wearing in the second picture, although you can't see it very well... It was a present from Mother Ship <3

Circle lenses rosas, peluca rosa y otra violeta (que todavía no me he probado) y el suéter de corazones que llevo puesto en la segunda foto, aunque no sé ve muy bien... Un regalo de la Nave Nodriza <3

There's not much to tell, actually... Well, I got good grades in all my subjects and that's always good!
